HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER

We are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee health, safety, and environmental management on our projects. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety standards, developing safety plans, and promoting a safe working environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Recognized Qualification in Occupational Safety and Health or Environmental Health and Safety.
- At least 8 years of professional experience, including 2 years in wastewater treatment plants or construction safety.
- High computer literacy, experience with quality management reporting systems, and data analysis skills.
- Fluent in English, with excellent technical writing and communication skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying and assessing H&S risks and encouraging reporting.
- Developing safety plans, policies, and procedures for ISO accreditation.
- Monitoring and reporting H, S, and E factors, and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Driving continuous improvement in safety and environmental practices.
- Responding to incidents and maintaining safety documentation.
- Providing H&S & E training in collaboration with management.
- Leading Toolbox Talks and fostering open safety communication.
