Job Purpose

To implement the HSEQ policies and procedures of Enova across all the projects through conducting health, safety environment, energy and quality inspections in the assigned project/ geography and participating in risk assessments and incident investigation to ensure the timely and accurate identification and reporting of non-compliance against relevant policies, processes, standards and customers' requirements and guidelines.

Key Accountabilities

  • Implement and update HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop control measures to minimize hazards in the workplace.
  • Lead accident/incident investigations, root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans.
  • Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams to ensure HSE compliance throughout all project phases.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs to raise awareness and promote a safety-conscious culture.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records and ensure timely reporting to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant HSEQ procedures, standards, customers' requirements and guidelines across
  • Enova projects to guarantee employee health and safety, quality and compliance with environmental and energy certification requirements, and a responsible environmental attitude.
  • Support in implementation of company accreditation quality system 9001, 50001 OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 to ensure all the required documents and systems are in place to enable efficient HSEQ operations and all other systems / certifications applicable to the company.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the HSEQ system used within Enova and keep the line manager informed about any issues or recommendations to improve performance, to ensure the system is operating as per desired efficiency and results.
  • Assist the line manager in implementing techniques and other analyses, as required to assess HSEQ risks in order to identify and prevent non-compliances that may lead to significant losses.
  • Perform inspections of the all-work sites and projects in the assigned area of operation, to ensure compliance with relevant standards, customers' requirements and guidelines and identify non-compliance, unsafe practices and conditions.
  • Investigate all incidents in the assigned area of operations under the guidance of the Assistant Manager – HSEQ and follow-up on the action plans as agreed by the line manager to ensure timely resolution of incidents.
  • Keep aware of the HSEQ-related policies, procedures, standards, checklists and guidelines, customers' requirements and guidelines and ensure creating awareness of these standards across the Company, thus improving compliance.
  • Assist in the provision of training and awareness on the HSEQ policies, procedures and guidelines and preparation of the relevant training material, in order to ensure creation of awareness on the related standards.
  • Develop a working relationship with authorities and assist in identifying areas for service improvement
  • Coordinate with the customers in the assigned area of operations, in order to understand their HSEQ requirements, standards and guidelines, and ensure they are implemented accordingly.
  • Abide by the Health, Safety, Energy, Environmental and Quality, (HSEQ) policy, procedures necessary for the good conduct and safety of the workplace. It is a requirement and moral obligation of each employee to be actively committed and accountable to the compliance of Enova's HSEQ policy, operating procedures, as well as being compliant with local legislation. The Employee shall seek clarification and guidance in specific cases or whenever one feels necessary.
  • Develop a pro-active working relationship with all authorities and assist in establishing areas for service improvement

Qualifications, Experiences, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree /Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • First Aiders.
  • IOSH Certified.
  • Confined Space Entry & Rescue.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (Mandatory NEBOSH, OSHA) (Level 6 diploma is preferred)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities in Risk assessments and method statements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
